In this workshop, you'll deepen your knowledge of embodied anatomy within yoga asana (poses) and pranayama (breath). Through an experiential lens we will:
- Explore the anatomy of respiration, with a focus on the breath's systemic impacts, mechanical function & energetics.
- Deconstruct a variety of asanas to discover major muscles working, different types of joint actions, & planes of movement. Specifically we'll focus on weight bearing, spinal movement, as well as inversions.
Whether you are a student or a teacher this workshop will bring anatomical principles & practices to life!
Join Emily Kramer, RYT-500, for an in-depth introduction to bio-mechanical anatomy and how to apply it to your yoga practice. Emily has specialized training in anatomy and back care, along with additional training in anxiety/depression, addiction, trauma-sensitivity, and yoga for young people.
