After many years living and working in Boston, Kate finally decided it was time to make a major life change.  This revelation came thanks to getting sober and embarking on a more steady and serious dive into yoga.  After a particularly blissful moment in savasana, Kate had a revelation that she wanted her whole life to feel that way - connected and at ease.  She realized that she would have to make yoga a foundational element of her life, and she immersed herself in practicing yoga asana, and incorporated vipassana meditation into her practice.

Things began to shift, and this evolution quickly led her out of the city and into the foothills of the Berkshires.  Once there, she decided to pursue her 200-hour teacher training with Tracy Donahue, who practices and teaches a graceful and intensive vinyasa flow, strongly influenced by both the Jivamukti and Kripalu yoga styles.

As she began to make her life "yoga", teaching naturally wove into her life fabric, and she has been fortunate to teach in various studios in the area including: Community Yoga (Greenfield), Pure Yoga (South Deerfield), Green River Yoga (Greenfield), Shelburne Falls Yoga, at the Rowe Center (Rowe, MA); she has also offered community classes in Rowe, Heath, and at the Northfield Senior Center.

Because of her own transformation, Kate firmly believes in the inherent power of all humans to transform themselves for the better, and she is grateful to be able to offer up the opportunity for others to access positivity and compassionate living through yoga. Her classes are gently rigorous and are focused on a balanced series of movements closely aligned with the breath.

To complement her 200-hour training with Tracy Donahue, she has certifications in Restorative Yoga, Five Element Yoga and Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery).

In addition to yoga, Kate loves: watching birds, gardening, putting up food, shepherding sheep, walking in the woods with her dog, stacking wood, saunas, and cooking with cast iron.
