Strong, Resilient, Safe: Yoga for Osteoporosis

This two-hour workshop will benefit anyone who has or is at risk for osteoporosis or osteopenia and is interested in yoga as a complementary therapy to standard medical treatment. 
 

In this workshop you’ll learn:

  • How a regular yoga practice can help stabilize and even reverse osteoporosis and osteopenia by improving bone density and bone quality as well as promoting good posture and building overall strength and balance

  • Yoga poses to avoid if you’ve been diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia and safe alternatives to integrate into any yoga class or home practice

The workshop will include:

  • Group yoga practice to build bone health

  • A yoga-for-osteoporosis home-practice worksheet

  • Resources for more information on yoga and osteoporosis
