“Learning we can be with our grief, holding it softly and warmly, is the first task… Learning to welcome, hold, and metabolize these sorrows is the work of a lifetime.” ~ Francis Weller The Wild Edge of Sorrow
The intention of this summer series of listening and witnessing circles is to step up to the first task of being with sorrow, to begin to build our capacity to stay present in our competent adult, witnessing selves when feelings of intense grief arise in ourselves and in others. This is not group therapy. This is an opportunity to gather with other humans who have a living relationship with loss, who are interested in the intimate relationship between grief and aliveness and have a desire to explore the creative tension between grief and gratitude.
These circles will be facilitated by Megan Bathory-Peeler, who personally has undertaken a lifelong apprenticeship with sorrow and for 30 years has professionally created secure spaces for individuals, couples, families, and groups to explore the wild edges of their bodies and souls. There is a suggested donation of $30 for each gathering. Please contact Megan directly if you are interested in attending. Call 413-772-0078 or Email: megan@somanautiko.com
