Introduction to Cacao: A Tasting Event

INTRODUCTION to CACAO with Scout

Please arrive by 6:15 pm to settle in so we can begin together.
Heart Centered Kirtan to follow at 7:00 pm.
Cost is $10. Advance registration required.

We have a special treat for this month’s Prema/Love kirtan: our friend Scout will be talking about and serving Cacao, complete with a sample tasting!

Cacao is not the same as chocolate. Like cocoa powder and chocolate, it comes from the cacao bean, but cacao is minimally processed and therefore nutrient rich, especially magnesium and other minerals, brain-boosting flavanols, and mood-boosting alkaloids.

Before the advent of commercial chocolate, fermented cacao was used as a ceremonial beverage by the indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica.

Today, many people are reconnecting to and exploring the sacred medicine of cacao, finding that it gently, yet powerfully relaxes the heart, deepening awareness of and facilitating connection to our own heart and others.

Sharing cacao while sitting together with intention can amplify the experience, potentially leading to a shift that allows us to reconnect with the Love that is our True Nature.

Cost is $10. Number of participants is limited to 10. Advance registration is required.

TO REGISTER:
Contact Heart Centered Kirtan (DM, 413-834-4524 or heartcenteredkirtan@gmail.com)
