Jocelyn O’Shea has been teaching traditional yoga postures, pranyama, and meditative practice since 2009. She has taught extensively in NYC public schools, in gyms, studios, community centers, parks, and offices, both privately and publicly. Her classes embody a sense of serious self-inquiry along with playful exploration. As a teacher she is known for consistency, precision, creativity, warmth and humor.
In 1999 Jocelyn began practicing yoga and has since studied many forms including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Classical Hatha, Kundalini, Restorative, as well as Meditation and Mindfulness practices. Her greatest teachers have been the students who bring endless inquiry and inspiration. It has been through teaching that she has learned about anatomy, modifications, and articulated guidance.
With great love and respect she offers these teachings to anyone who is interested in learning.
