Jenny Abeles has been an avid student of yoga for over 30 years and completed her 200-hr teacher training at Adhikara Yoga School in 2016. She founded the Women's Yoga Center in Goris, Armenia as part of her Peace Corps service and remains committed to the potential of yoga practice for personal empowerment and social justice.
In her teaching, she emphasizes alignment, curiosity, and individual attunement to the teacher within. A medieval and Renaissance scholar by training, she is interested in creatively blending of philosophies and mythologies, and she tends to make poems, tales, and music part of the texture of her classes.
Jenny is also a writer and a writing teacher, and she sees our bodies as stories we live in day to day with varying degrees of awareness and richness. As such, she finds joy in facilitating opportunities for students to inquire into the possibilities of their own rare and particularly compelling story.
